Do my clerks need training?

No. The rule we build under is that a seventy-year-old owner checks a guest in with zero training. We still sit with your staff for one shift, because that is when the small questions come up.

What if the internet drops?

Innkeep runs in your browser, so it needs a connection — the same one your card machine needs. We are not going to tell you it works offline, because it doesn't. If the line goes down, write the guest on a pad and enter them when it's back. Offline mode is on our Coming Soon list; we won't sell it to you before it's built.

Can a clerk delete something they shouldn't?

Erasing a stay is not on a clerk's screen at all. Other risky actions — cancelling, changing a rate, a discount — stop and ask for a manager's PIN. You choose which is which.

Drag their stay onto another room, or click it and pick from a list of free rooms — Innkeep asks you to confirm, and refuses a room that is taken those nights.

The Check-In list shows who is arriving. The Check-Out list shows who is leaving, with everyone staying over underneath — the lists your day actually runs on.

Every guest, remembered.

Past stays, notes and ID on the record, so a returning guest is greeted like one.

Tomorrow is ready on its own.

When the day rolls over, no-shows clear and the board moves to tomorrow by itself. No end-of-day ritual.
